Ed and I were neighbors and co-workers at WSFA-TV back in the late sixties. We played Rook with our wives every Friday night til one an two in the morning. He got two job offers in the summer of '69 and decided to take the offer with Yeoman Amerson Advertising in Montgomery. The other position was at Farm Bureau in Montgomery and I eventually took that job. It lead to a 30 year career for me thanks to Ed. Unfortunately, Y & O Adv. fell apart and Ed moved to Mobile and joined WKRG. I only saw Ed once after that, at a NBC new season premiere meeting in Denver. We had a great time renewing our friendship for that three days. We were Facebook friends so kept up with each other and I got so much pleasure from his outstanding photography. What a heart breaking shock when I found out he passed away. I'm sure he is taking some wonderful photographs in heaven.
