Mr. Jimmy Kennedy, age 81, a resident of Cottonwood died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Bayside Manor Nursing Home in Pensacola FL. after a brief illness.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Sam White officiating and Kendall Glover directing.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 1170 Dothan, AL. 36302.

Mr. Kennedy was born on November 13, 1933 in Pinkard AL. the son of Louise Ramsey. He moved from Milton, FL. and has lived in Cottonwood and Dothan since the late 1970’s. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years.

He is preceded in death by his mother; wife, Mary Frances Kennedy; 2 sisters, Peggy Shepard and Nell McFall.

Survivors include: daughter Jennifer Stump, Pompano Beach, FL.; grandson Casey Stump, Pompano Beach, FL.; granddaughter, Christina Stump, Wellington, FL.; and 2 nephews.
