Life Story for Bobby Lois "Bob" Ester

Mr. Bob Ester, age 88, a resident of Dothan, AL. (formerly of Bettendorf, Iowa) died Saturday December 13, 2014 at Wesley Manor following an extended illness.

Memorial Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday December 18, 2014 at the Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery with Chaplain Eddie Biss officiating and U.S. Navy Honors.

Mr. Ester was born on August 10, 1926 in Three Sands, Ok., the son of Samuel Ester and Margaret Frederick Ester. Mr. Ester worked for 12 years with J.I. Case in Rock Island, Illinois and retired as Building Superintendent with the Davenport Bank & Trust after 25 years service. Mr. Ester has lived in Dothan for the past 25 years moving from Bettendorf, Iowa. He was a member of the American Legion and was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 sisters & 4 brothers.

Survivors include: wife of 52 years, Shirley Jennings Ester, Dothan, AL.; daughter, Janis Guilfoyle (John), Monett, Mo.; two son’s, Tommy Ester (Barbara), Neosho, Mo.; Jimmy Ester, Monett, Mo.; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren; 2 brother-in-laws, D. Richard Jennings, Moline, Illinois and Rod Jennings(Carol), Davenport, Iowa; sister-in-law, Becky Jennings, Davenport, Iowa
