Mrs. Jean Faye Somers Trawick, age 75, a resident of Ashford (Union Hill Community) died early Friday March 24, 2017 at her residence following a very brief illness.

A private family Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Kendall Glover is in charge of cremation services. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Wiregrass Humane Society, 255 Jerry Drive, Dothan, AL, 36303 or to the Alabama Boston Terrior Rescue, 427 Co. Rd. 281, Courtland, AL, 35618.

Mrs. Trawick was born on April 3, 1941 in Quinby, VA, the daughter of Freddie Somers and Thelma Louise Powell Somers. She was a graduate of Camp LeJeune High School in Camp LeJeune, NC. Mrs. Trawick was a homemaker and had a great love of animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include: husband of 23 years, Sidney Trawick, Ashford; 2 daughters, Debby Morris (Suzanne Krall), Germantown, MD; Kathy (Wallace) Barber, Ardmore, AL; 2 sons, William B. Morris, Temecula, CA; Winfield Wallace (Melanie), Ashford, AL; 2 step-children, Kimberly (Trawick) Webb, Panama City, FL and Dwayne Trawick, Dothan, ; brother-in-law, James L. (Bud) Trawick, Ashford, close cousins, Vonzalee and Bob Easley, Crisfield, MD; 2 grandchildren, Whitney Wallace and Sean Hughes; 1 great-grandchild, Jaxon Brady Bostwick; close friend, Pam Andrews, Gordon, and a host of other family and friends.
