Condolence From: Susan Daniel Schaffer
Condolence: Angela, Mike, and Steve, I just learned this morning that your dad passed away. I haven't seen him since he traveled to Atlanta to give my sister, Brenda's, eulogy at her funeral, but that meant so much to my family because he was such an important friend and role model to her, to everyone in my family. As our pastor at Bayou Baptist Chutch and as a friend to my family, he played a vital role in our childhoods, and all of the Daniel children remember him as a kind and wonderful person. He truly cared about people. I am so sorry for your loss.

Condolence: Gerald was an amazing man who we met several years ago when he showed up at our sawmill. He said a sawmill had saved his family during the Depression and that he wanted to meet Steve. Gerald's generosity was broad and his friendship deep. We were shocked to hear of his passing. Our deepest condolences to his family. His smile and voice are in our hearts too.

Condolence: Richard & I worked for SAYS from 1988 until mid 1997:we were both at the Boys Home in Ozark (prior to their move out to the country plus Richard worked for the Diversion Center at the same time. I believe Richard knew Mike. I'm just sorry that we were unable to attend Gerald's Memorial. Richard was out on the road and I was recovering from an illness. You will continue to pray for your family because we, both, know how hard it is to lose a loved one so suddenly. My mother died suddenly of MRSA not to long ago and Richard just lost his brother last year. God bless all of you in your time of need, Janet

Condolence: Angela I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad. My heart goes out to you because I know how much you loved your dad and I pray God wraps His loving arms around you and for you to receive comfort, peace, and understanding over Gerald's unexpected passing. I grew up knowing how special he was and I know that my dad always thought a lot of their friendship. Many, many years ago your dad led a Bible study that my dad attended and he always received so much from your dads leadership. He touched many people over his lifetime and even though family and friends are mourning here Heaven is rejoicing. I love you and will keep you in my prayers.

Condolence: Steve and Family......So sad to hear about your Dad. We thought so much of Gerald. He delivered the Message when my Father passed away and it meant so much to us. He was always so kind to ask about Momma over the years as we would run into him and once again it meant so much. That's the way he was. Always thinking of others. Thoughts and Prayers will continue for you and all the family.

Condolence: I met Gerald about a year and a half ago and we immediately became friends. he had a great love for life and people. he had such great stories to tell. I got to met his son taylor and he loved this boy so much. I never got to met his wife but he talked of her with such love and compassion. we met at waffle house and it we always a joy to see him come through the door, he never left the restaurant without speaking to each person and wishing them blessings and had to give each salesperson a hug and shake the hand of each male associate. we considered him a part of our little family and will miss him dearly. prayers go out to each family member at this time of loss. peace be with you.

Condolence: When I heard that Gerald had passed, I thought back to the last time I saw and spoke with him. Maybe 6 months. As usual we talked about both of our passions, about our families and his retirement. He of course asked me when was I going to retire and I said probably never. To the family, Gerald touched thousands of lives and made an impact on everyone. I will remember him as a true friend, through thick and thin but most of all his love of Christ and his passion to help children succeed in life. RIP my friend, until we meet again. God Speed, Bobby Lewis
