Condolences

Condolence From: Brenda Beasley
Condolence: I met Mattie at Wex-Tex. She was an amazing woman. She loved my son Brian and would kid him alot when he would come to the mill. I'm glad I got to know her and enjoy her laugh. I'm sorry for the family's loss and heaven has a new angel.

Condolence: To the Ryus Family,

I have heard wonderful stories about Life Member Ryus. I am told that she made outfits for struggling young minister's spouses assigned to the Grant Chapel AMEC. In doing so, she maintained the legacy of Sarah Allen who also cared for the clothing of young AMEC minister's. She was a true missionary who demonstrated the "role" and "actions" of what is meant by "to serve."

Our Prayers are with you during our hour of sorrow. A rose has bloomed in heaven.

Condolence From: Melinda "Lynn Mann" Stewart
Condolence: To the family of Ms. Mattie (a Church Mother to all youth of Grant Chapel A.M.E.), I send you my sincere prayers in this time of sorrow. Such a flood of memories come upon me when I think of Ms. Mattie and when I see her picture on the page...those that remind me of someone in their own way contributed to the molding and making of young adults within the Body of Christ into who we are now today...GOD-FEARING men and women. The memory of Ms. Mattie will always in some way or another be resounding not only my mind but, in all who knew her hearts of what "use" to be a "VILLAGE" of care-givers offering love, support and upbuilding tools to God's Children, offering an invitation into God's service. I pray that the peace of God rest sweetly upon you in this time of sorrow that in due season you will find solace.

Condolence: Linda and Family, May God bless you now as you prepare for your Aunt Mattie's home going services. She lived a good long life. Her picture is so lovely and I know that this is the Aunt Mattie that you remember and that makes you smile. Prayers and sympathy and much love is sent to you.

Condolence: No matter how long our loved ones are with us, death always brings pain and sorrow. The Bible calls death an enemy that will soon be brought to nothing, 1 Corinthians 15:26. Until that time, hold your precious memories tight and lean on family and friends for comfort. Also lean on God for he gives us 'everlasting comfort and good hope' to cope in the days ahead, 2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17. My deepest sympathy.
