Ms. Linda Blissett Prudhomme passed away, Thursday night, June 9, 2016 at her home after a courageous battle with lung disease for several years. She was 75.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday 25, 2016 at Glover Funeral Home.

Family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Christian Lighthouse Church c/o Rev. Troy Walsingham 2417 Denton Rd. Dothan, AL 36303.

Linda was born in Dothan to the late F. Howard Blissett and the late Nellie Mae Hudspeth Blissett on September 15, 1940. She was reared most of her life in Cottonwood, Alabama. Linda moved to Miami, Florida and lived there for 11 years before returning to Dothan in 1968 and opening the city’s first dog grooming business called the Pampered Poodle Salon. She married Frank G. Prudhomme in 1971 and lived several places while he was in the Air Force.
Linda returned to Dothan in 1980 and opened Linda’s Pet Grooming on Blissett Drive before moving to its current Fortner Street location in 1989. Earlier, she worked in the insurance and banking industry and was a stewardess for National Airlines. Linda was a member of the Christian Lighthouse Church and a former member of The Pilot Club of Dothan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald G. Blissett.

Survivors include; three step-daughters, Chris Sullivan (Scott), Helena, Alabama, Marva Rutherford (Roger) and Richelle Prudhomme, all of Mansfield Louisiana; two sisters, Dorothy Brown (Ron), Dothan and Mary Dodd (Eddie), Abbeville; a sister-in-law, Mona Merle Blissett, Dothan; two brothers, Jimmy Blissett (Margaret), Abbeville and Johnny Ray Blissett (Patty), Lafayette, Louisiana; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; great nieces, and nephews and great great nephews.
