Mr. James Allen Adkins, age 64, a resident of Dothan died Thursday, February 4, 2016 at Flowers Hospital.

A gathering of friends will be held at 3pm Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Glover Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity.

Mr. Adkins was born on November 30, 1951 in Dothan, Alabama the son of Mitchell Adkins and Mary Balkcom Adkins. He was employed at Laurel Oaks where he worked with troubled youth. Jimbo enjoyed many trips to New Orleans to visit lifelong friends. He had a keen sense of humor and was a devoted thoughtful friend to many. Among his hobbies were an avid Alabama fan, photography and good music. He was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity at the University of Alabama

He was preceded in death by his parents.
