Life Story for James Wilburn Sellers

Mr. James Wilburn Sellers, age 73, a resident of Cottonwood, died Wednesday September 9, 2015 at the Crestview Rehab. Center in Crestview, Florida following an extended illness.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday September 11, 2015 at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Cottonwood with Reverend Keith Johnson officiating and Kendall Glover directing.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice, 550 Redstone Avenue, Crestview, Fl. 32536.

Mr. Sellers was born on September 26, 1941 in Cottonwood the son of Samual Wright Sellers and Essie V. Huff Sellers. He worked as a shoe salesman for most of his adult life, having worked at Blumbergs and Burnham Shoe Stores in Dothan. Mr. Sellers was a musician, and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a graduate of Cottonwood High School.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Cason; parents and a sister, Sonia Sellers

Survivors include: brother, Robert Earl Sellers (Sara), Cottonwood; sister, Renee Leddon (Tom), Ashford; 4 special children, David Thompson (Connie), Cottonwood; Allen Thompson (Betty Jean), Avon; Michael Thompson (Toni), Salt Lake City, Utah; Randall Thompson (Kathy), Clearwater, Florida; special cousin, Addison Sellers (Vern), Cottonwood; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
