Mrs. Annie Will Free Averett, age 86, a resident of Dothan died early Saturday April 4, 2015 at the SAMC after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday April 7, 2015 in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend’s Royce Morrow and Raymond Holt officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Hill Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing.

The family will be receiving friends at the Glover Funeral Home on Monday April 6, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Flowers will be accepted.

Mrs. Averett was born on April 15, 1928 in Houston County the daughter of Arthur L. Free and Carrie Virginia Hinson Free. She was retired as a supervisor after 40 years of service with Dothan Manufacturing. Mrs. Averett was a member of the Berean Baptist Church and was a lifelong resident of Houston County.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Averett; 3 sisters & 3 brothers.

Survivors include: two daughters, Donna Braswell (Lamar); Vicki Davis (Larry), both of Cowarts; two sisters, Nell Prevatt, Gordon; Jean Herman (Steve), Dothan; 6 grandchildren, Nicky Braswell (Shelley), Stephanie Davis (J.J.), Kerri Shiver (Jason), Eric Davis, Kelli Wheelus (Skip) and Logan King; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Eric Davis, Jake Knight, Josh Knight, Ethan Knight, Danny Prevatt and Wilburn Johnson.

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
