Mr. Omer Russell Nowell, age 73, a resident of Cottonwood died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Enterprise Medical Center after an extended illness.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Howell officiating and Kendall Glover directing.

The family will be receiving friends at Glover Funeral Home on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nowell family.

Mr. Nowell was born on November 20, 1941 in Houston County the son of Russell James Nowell and Maldrie Peacock. He was a Delivery Driver in the Electrical Industry, and served in the Army Reserve and was a lifelong resident of Cottonwood, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by parents; 2 sisters, Gracie Campbell and Runette Dionne.

Survivors include: wife, Donna Nowell, Cottonwood, AL.; son, Russell (Rusty) Nowell, Cottonwood AL.; sister, Virginia Harrell, Dothan, AL.; 2 brothers James Nowell (Sandy), Campbellton, FL. and Larry Nowell, Cottonwood, AL. and several nieces and nephews.
