Life Story for Scotty Lamont Driskell

Mr. Scotty Lamont Driskell, age 49, a resident of Wicksburg, died Tuesday March 3, 2015 at Flowers Hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday March 10, 2015 at the Piney Grove Assembly of God Church (Co. Rd. 9 in Wicksburg) with Pastor Brian Presley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Kendall Glover directing.

The family will be receiving friends from 5 p.m. unitl 7 p.m. Monday March 9 at Glover Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted. Mr. Driskell will lie in state 1 hour prior to service at the church.

Mr. Driskell was born on March 16, 1965 in Dothan the son of Jerry Lavone Driskell and Carolyn Sue Lunsford Driskell. He worked as a welder with ALFAB in Enterprise. Mr. Driskell was a 1983 graduate of Wicksburg High School and served six years in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his mother; paternal grandparents, Brack & Vera Driskell; maternal grandparents, Bill & Lucille Lunsford; aunt, Betty Nelson and a uncle, Comer Driskell.

Survivors include: wife, Milana Driskell, Wicksburg; son, Dillion Driskell, Wicksburg; father, Jerry Driskell, Enterprise; a sister, Sherry Renae Dennard, Nashville, Tn.; aunt, Rebecca Ann Driskell, Wicksburg; several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Pallbearers will be: Michael Bond, Frank Bernhard, Ronnie Baxley, Todd Skelton, Hayden Baxley and Hal Cobb.
