Mr. Dewey Ralph Money, age 91, a resident of Dothan died Wednesday July 23, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday July 26, 2014 at the Friendship Assembly of God Church in Taylor with Reverend Clarence Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing.

The family will be receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Glover Funeral Home. At all other times the family will be at the residence of Mr. Money. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice, 2740 Headland Ave., Dothan, AL. 36303(Attention Lindy)

Mr. Money was born on May 15, 1923 in Kinsey the son of John Cash Money and Sarah Isabelle Kirkland Money. He was retired as a Captain with the Dothan Fire Department after 36 years of service. Mr. Money was a 1945 Graduate of Dothan High School and he attended the University of Alabama for one year where he was a member of the football team. He was a member of the Friendship Assembly of God Church and was a lifelong resident of Houston County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Virgie Lee Franklin Money and 9 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include: 3 sons, Raymond Money and Ronald Money (Carla) both of Dothan; Ritchie Money (Beverly), Cochran, Ga.; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, James C. Money, Plant City, FL.; Evitus Earl (E.E.) Money, Donalsonville, Ga.; a sister, Sarah Money Shiver, Dothan; special caregiver, Dawn Simmons.

Pallbearers will be: Stephen Hilson, Daniel Lockner, Daniel Grantham, Ethan Money, Don Sanders and George Deese.
