Obituary for William Lee Maupin

Mr. William Lee Maupin, age 74, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Saturday July 5, 2014 at Flowers Hospital following an extended illness.

The family will be receiving friends at the Glover Funeral Home on Tuesday July 8, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Vaughn Blumberg Services, Recreation Department, 2715 Flynn Road, Dothan, AL. 36303.

Mr. Maupin was born on October 13, 1939 in Hannibal, Mo., the son of George William Maupin and Juanita Victoria Crutchlow Maupin. He was retired as a power house operator with the Georgia Pacific Paper Mill in Cedar Springs, Ga. after 37 years of service. Mr. Maupin was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a 1957 graduate of Clarence High School.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: wife of 50 years, Brenda Stephenson Maupin, Dothan; a son, Bryan Maupin, Dothan; two daughters, Sheri Lynn Maupin, Dothan; Brenda Maupin Majors, Hannibal, Mo.; 4 grandchildren, Kara Chapman, Abigail Chapman, Anthony Majors and Chad Majors; 2 brothers, Robert Maupin, Port Orchard, Wa.; Michael Maupin, Oklahoma City, Ok.; 2 sisters, Mary Wriedt, Kirksville, Mo.; Gerry Lehenbauer, Center, Mo.; several nieces and nephews.
