Mr. Billy Wayne Hickman, age 66, a resident of Ozark, died Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Dale Medical Center following an extended illness.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Hickman was born in Abbeville on July 18, 1947, the son of J.B. Hickman and Carrie Valley Rollins Hickman. He was a lifelong resident of Henry and Dale Counties. He worked for the City of Ozark as a sign installer.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Faye Watson Hickman; a son, Billy Ray Hickman, Jr. and three brothers, Thomas Pearce Hickman, William Earl Hickman and John Hoarce Hickman.

Survivors include: a son, Larry Hickman (Lei Ann Merritt) of Ozark; a daughter, Joni Lee Hickman Terry of Birmingham; a sister, Salonie Nell Hickman Knierim; a brother, James Robert Hickman (Donni) of Grove Hill; and six grandchildren.
